A young electronics expert and an artifact researcher who team up with the Autobots and the Maximals to protect an ancient artifact called the Transwarp Key from the villainous Terrorcons.
The movie introduces a new faction of Transformers called the Maximals, who are animal-themed robots. It also features classic characters like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
