A man named John who wakes up from a coma to find out that his wife and daughter have been murdered in a home invasion. He goes on a personal vendetta against the man behind the killings, revealed to be Luc Deveraux, the eponymous Universal Soldier from the previous films who has now become a powerful terrorist military leader.
The film is full of action and violence, as John fights his way through Deveraux's army of genetically enhanced soldiers. It also explores themes of revenge, redemption, and the nature of humanity.
