A retired bomb squad member, Howard Payne, rigs a city bus with a bomb that will explode if its speed drops below 50 miles per hour.
Jack and his partner Harry must figure out how to keep the bus moving at a safe speed while also trying to disarm the bomb. They're helped by Annie, a passenger on the bus who becomes involved in the dangerous mission.
